Booz Allen Hamilton

Under the AIDSTAR Sector II IQC, the Booz Allen Hamilton Consortium makes available an outstanding group of five partners, each chosen for their expertise in a specific technical area covered by AIDSTAR Sector II and for their demonstrated commitment to excellence. Booz Allen is committed to working in partnership with USAID to develop and deliver state-of-the-art innovative capacity building and institutional strengthening initiatives to countries affected by the ongoing HIV/AIDS crisis.

A global strategy and technology consulting firm, Booz Allen Hamilton brings insight and innovation to challenges of international health, working with a wide variety of public and private stakeholders through each step of the health care delivery continuum. With over 20,000 professionals in 96 offices on six continents, Booz Allen brings a broad range of research based solutions involving program management, institutional capacity building, technology, and the interrelationship of economic development and security through its extensive knowledge base and partner network.

The Booz Allen Team provides reliable and highly skilled professionals, on demand and at scale, in each technical area covered by AIDSTAR Sector II. Our partners include:

Affordable Medicines for Africa (AMFA)
A nonprofit organization seeking sustainable innovative health care solutions by combining its business and development expertise to provide high quality, affordable health care products through secure supply chain channels serving Christian missions, hospitals and other health care providers. AMFA also draws upon its extensive developing country consulting experience to strengthen local capacity in marketing, manufacturing, and financial operations within a wide variety of organizations.

Altarum
Altarum has substantial experience in institutional development and capacity building through participatory strategic planning, systems thinking, modeling, knowledge transfer, monitoring and evaluation, and technical assistance. With a 60-year history and over 200 technical staff, Altarum promotes collaboration and partnership building to create sustainable, effective health systems. Altarum works extensively with those in greatest need—at community, local, and national levels.

European Health Care Consortium (EHCC)
A nine-member multi-sectoral partnership of the most prestigious European health services organizations, highly experienced and proactive at implementing emergency and development programs in PEPFAR focus countries; with proven capacity and commitment for effective, accountable and sustainable results, while contributing highest standards for institutional capacity strengthening for AIDS treatment, prevention and control programs reaching final beneficiaries at community levels. EHCC includes: Imperial College London (UK), Charles Kendall (UK), Merlin (UK), AVSI (IT), Agencia Laín-Entralgo (SP), Centro Farmacéutico Nacional (SP), Aedes (BE), Euro Health Group (DK), Eptisa (SP-EHCC leader).

The Population Council
The Population Council is an international, nongovernmental organization that produces, disseminates, and promotes evidence-based knowledge to improve the well being and health of poor and vulnerable populations. Multi-disciplinary expertise in biomedicine, public health, and social science inform our applied research, capacity building, and technical assistance activities. Decades of field experience include nearly 150 HIV and AIDS projects in 28 countries in collaboration with more than 380 partners.

Population Services International (PSI)
The leading nonprofit social marketing organization in the world with strong long-term relationships with local partners in more than 60 developing countries has 20 years experience in all aspects of HIV prevention and in fostering creative partnerships among the public, NGO, and private sectors.

The Booz Allen Consortium is active through offices and programs across the globe, including all PEPFAR focus countries and is committed to delivering results that endure in a developing country context.
