JHPIEGO

JHPIEGO, an international health affiliate of The Johns Hopkins University (JHU), brings more than 35 years of experience, in more than 120 countries, managing complex global and bilateral awards from the U.S. Government (USG). HopkinsPlus, a world-renowned team of recognized leaders and organizations in HIV/AIDS programming led by JHPIEGO, readily responds to USG agencies responsible for achieving PEPFAR results. On task orders issued under the AIDSTAR IQC, the HopkinsPlus team uses a multidisciplinary approach that provides rapid access to a coordinated team of technical experts and quality implementation support.

HopkinsPlus’ unique and distinguishing features include:

  • The added value of research-to-practice from Johns Hopkins University
  • The benefit of established and new partners who bring a fresh perspective and energy
  • An appropriate mix of field and U.S.-based experience and expertise to fulfill USG needs across all HIV/AIDS program interventions
  • A proven consortium leader – JHPIEGO

JHPIEGO holds the prime responsibility of overseeing the provision of HIV/AIDS technical assistance. JHPIEGO possesses 250 technical professionals and provides access to 600 JHU faculty and researchers housed under one virtual roof through the coordination and facilitation of the JHU Center for Global Health (CGH). The CGH brings to the USAID Office of HIV/AIDS exclusive, real-time access to faculty and service providers from JHU’s School of Medicine (SOM), Bloomberg School of Public Health (BSPH), and School of Nursing, as well as the technical professionals at BSPH’s Center for Communication Programs and the SOM’s Johns Hopkins Center for Clinical Global Health Education. The entire JHU community offers multidisciplinary skills and talents that are harnessed for effective task order responses.

The HopkinsPlus team possesses a tremendous breadth of HIV/AIDS service delivery experience that provides the USG with fast access to quality technical services. In addition, the team includes a diverse group of U.S.- and regionally based subcontractors who complement the expertise of JHU and round out the core management unit. These organizations include:
