Chemonics International Inc. has worked to meet the needs of USAID and the people it serves since 1975. Working in almost 140 countries around the world, Chemonics has managed more than 900 projects in all key development areas, and currently manages more than 105 contracts for USAID in some 70 countries. Chemonics addresses health issues through a comprehensive, multisectoral approach and emphasizes local capacity building, private sector participation, partnerships and institutional strengthening.
The Chemonics Consortium presents USAID with a team of experts to implement the Health Policy Initiative IQC. The consortium brings together a rich and diverse collection of organizations, distinguished by a demonstrable record of delivering measurable results, outstanding technical expertise, and complementary skills in all aspects of the project, including:
- Advocates for Youth champions efforts to help young people make informed and responsible decisions about their reproductive and sexual health.
- Change Management Associates International focuses on identification of strategic threats and opportunities, and management of the organizational response to them; development and implementation of internal and external strategic marketing and communication plans to achieve program objectives; stakeholder analysis; identification of client needs, and the design, implementation and evaluation of services to meet those needs.
- Cultural Practice, LLC, a women-owned small business, is known for providing expertise in evaluation of research and program management; strategy development; translating research for policy and practice; and social and gender analysis.
- EMI Systems, Inc is a certified small business offering technical assistance in strategic planning; policy support; monitoring and evaluation; in education management; democracy and governance; social reform; health management; environment and natural resources; agribusiness; and private sector development.
- Georgetown University Institute for Reproductive Health is dedicated to helping women and men make informed choices about family planning and providing them with simple and effective natural options. As part of Georgetown University’s School of Medicine, the Institute conducts research to develop natural methods of family planning and test them in service delivery settings.
- Informed Decisions helps people and institutions use data for better decision making, policy analysis, planning, monitoring and evaluation.
- O’Brien and Associates International is a global consulting firm that helps businesses, operating in developing countries, develop workplace and community strategies that make communities more prosperous and businesses more competitive.
