Initiatives Inc. is a woman-owned small business with 20 years of experience providing technical and programmatic support to USAID programs across the globe. In our unique position as a small business awarded a Global Health TASC3 IQC we are privileged, under the fair opportunity exception, to respond directly to task orders submitted by USAID Missions.
For TASC3 we have assembled a team of institutions with demonstrated leadership and expertise in international public health. The Initiatives Inc. Global Health Team is comprised of: Initiatives Inc., John Snow, Inc. (JSI), the Academy for Educational Development (AED) and the New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute (AI), plus two new partners, the Elizabeth Glazer Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) and Chemonics International, Inc. (Chemonics).
The Initiatives Inc. Global Health Team is dedicated to providing innovative, efficient, effective, and responsive technical support in the field of international public health. Our longstanding reputation for quality programs and our extensive experience working with USAID, prepare us to provide the highest quality support available. To meet the full scope of USAID's health and population initiatives, our team offers senior, mid-level, and junior professionals with a diversity of geographic, linguistic, and technical expertise. The range of our technical capabilities positions us to respond to the technical and programmatic needs of USAID Missions and their host-country partners. The scope of our experience prepares us to provide technical assistance in all regions of the world.
While all organizations in our TASC3 Global Health Team have a wide range of experience and technical skills, each partner brings specific expertise to this endeavor:
- John Snow, Inc.: Leadership in public health and family planning logistics programs in developing countries, including logistics management information systems, distribution systems, and supply chain management, as well as service delivery of mother and child health, HIV/AIDS, and family planning programs
- Academy for Educational Development: Dominance in the areas of behavior change and nutrition
- New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute: National leadership in quality HIV/AIDS prevention and care services
- Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation: Unequaled experience and expertise in increasing access to services for the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, linking these services with care and treatment, and providing care and treatment for children and families
- Chemonics International, Inc.: Innovative strategies for infectious disease management
Together with Initiatives Inc.'s focus on reproductive health, family planning, HIV/AIDS, and management systems, this team has the technical and managerial resources to respond quickly and effectively to TASC3 Global Health RFTOPs in any region of the world.
